Despite the advances of feminism, the patriarchy is still alive. Thanks to its capacity to adapt, its mandates continue to limit women’s freedom, and also men’s. Based on philosophy and social psychology, the authors elaborate, using a playful and ironic tone and in the form of an “obedience book,” this is a tool that allows us to recognize how the patriarchy functions and devise a set of disobedience strategies to uninstall its principles.

Sara Berbel Sánchez has a PhD in Social Psychology. She has been the CEO of Barcelona’s town hall and president of the Institut Català de les Dones. She is the author of Sin cadenas and Directivas empresarias
Bernat Castany Prado (Barcelona, 1977) is a writer and professor at the University of Barcelona. He is an author of the essays Literatura posnacional and Que nada se sabe. El escepticismo en la obra de Jorge Luis Borges, and the poetry collections Más fácil todavía and La divina comedia, among other books. He has published several academic articles about philosophy and Latin American literature, and he regularly collaborates with the media, including in places like El País, Zenda Libros, and Pliego Suelto.
